How to Join
With the aim of promoting all aspects of cycling within the Royal Navy, the RNC strives to keep things uncomplicated. There are 2 types of membership you can apply for dependant on your status, full membership and club membership with different entitlements.
Membership Types
Full Membership
Open to all serving ranks of the Naval Service, this includes Reservists, RFA and the Band Service.
Club Membership
Open to ex-serving members of the Naval Service & MoD employees.
Joining Date
Both options will run consecutively from the initial date of joining. The Membership Secretary will maintain a database of members informing them when their membership is due for renewal (assuming members maintain their contact details).
Full/Club Membership (1 Year) – NO Jersey
Membership (1 year) commences from the date purchased. ** FREE JERSEY IS NOT INCLUDED ** – £20.00.
Full/Club Membership (3 Years) + Jersey
Membership (3 years) commences from the date purchased and includes a Free RNC jersey for your discipline, available in unisex and Women’s cut dispatched to serving unit (each time you renew) – £60.00.
Life Membership
Life Membership is given to those members who have been recognised by the Association for providing outstanding service, usually over a number of years.
Full Membership Entitlements
- Refund of entry fees for Inter Service Races.
- Club Clothing at discounted prices.
- Able to enter CTT events as an RNC member.
- Able to enter BC races as an RNC member (licence required).
- Refund of travel expenses to approved races.
- Take advantage of exclusive RNC discounts and benefits.
- Take advantage of our free bike box hire.
- Able to attend annual overseas/home training camp.
- Able to vote on proposals at the Association’s AGM.
Club Members Entitled To
- Club Clothing at discounted prices.
- Able to enter CTT events as an RNC member.
- Able to enter BC races as an RNC member (licence required).
- Take advantage of exclusive RNC discounts and benefits.
- Take advantage of our free bike box hire.
- Able to attend annual overseas/home training camp at their own expense.
- Able to compete in designated Naval Service championships.

BC Application Process
Details given are important particularly, an accurate postal address, as this is where your jersey will be sent for those taking the 3-year option. Also a valid email account will ensure you stay up to date with what’s happening in RNC. Don’t forget if you get a new email account to update your details held with British Cycling.
