Royal Navy and Royal Marine Cycling Association 'The Guide Book' Title 1. The title of the Association shall be the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Cycling Association. (RNRMCA) Objectives 2. The objectives of the RNRMCA shall be: a. To encourage cycling in all ships and establishments of the Royal Navy at home and abroad, and to advise and assist on all aspects of cycling The Committee 3. The management of the Association shall be conducted by an Executive Committee, who shall meet on a regular basis and consisting of the following:
4. The Officers of the RNRMCA shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. Vacancies occurring subsequent to the AGM shall be filled by nominees of the Executive Committee. Membership 5. There are 2 types of active membership, Full and Club. Life Membership is given to those members who have been recognized by the club for providing outstanding service to the club, usually over a number of years.
Membership Entitlements 6. Full – Members will be entitled to the following: a. Refund of entry fees for approved Inter Service Races Club – Members will be entitled to the following:
e. Able to compete at NAVY championships.
Membership Fees 7. There are two membership options:- a. One years membership. Fee £10.00 Both options will run consecutively from the month joined. The Membership Secretary will maintain a database of members informing them when their membership is due for renewal. Club Funds 8. The elected Treasurer shall administer the clubs funds. The treasurer should (when possible) be a serving Royal Navy or Royal Marine Officer. The clubs funds will be subject to a full audit at least once a year, with the results of the audit forwarded to the Chairman, General Secretary and ADNPTS. The clubs funds are provided from the following: a.Membership Fees Equipment 9. The Equipment Manager shall be the custodian for all equipment held by the Association. Club clothing and small items of equipment are available from the Equipment Manager with a discount. 10. Equipment owned by the RNRMCA is available for use to Full members. When a piece of RNRMCA equipment is in the charge of a member it is his/her responsibility to ensure the safekeeping of it. Should any damage occur to any RNRMCA equipment, then the member will be liable for any costs incurred in the repair or replacement of the item. RNRMCA equipment taken on charge by a member is done so with the knowledge that the club will not accept any liability for any injury to the member that may occur whilst using RNRMCA equipment. Promulgation of Information 11. The club will contact members routinely via e mail. These e mail updates will inform members of forthcoming events and highlight when new information is available on the club website. Any member not wishing to receive these updates can remove their names from the mailing list by contacting the Web Master. 12. The club website will provide easy access to all club members (wherever they may be serving) who have access to the Internet. The website will aim to provide up to date information of all club activities and forthcoming events. All information placed on the website shall be at the discretion of the Chairman, and will be updated as regularly as possible. Members who wish to have information placed on the website should forward the information to both the Chairman and the Webmaster (preferably via email).
