The penultimate race in this years RNRMCA championships saw a field of 10 riders compete for the crown of 50 mile champion.
On the day there was no stopping Sean Childs who is enjoying his strongest season yet from taking the title. The course has received mixed reviews but with riders hitting great form and near perfect weather conditions there were new PB’s a plenty as the RNRMCA riders vied for the points on offer in the annual championship battle. Sean won the race with an almost 3 minute gap to second place in an incredible time of 1:47:50 this time sets a new RN record and PB for the West Country rider and averages out at 27.82 MPH. All riders gave storming performances really highlighting the strength and depth the club is displaying this season.

The times are even more impressive when you consider 3 of the riders had ridden a 100 mile race the day before where again it was PB’s all round see below provisional times:- Sean Childs 3:37 New Course Record & RNRMCA Record Garry Drew 3:50 Stuart Edwards 4:03
The sky really is now the limit for the RNRMCA Time Trial team as they look to 12 and 24 hour events and not to forget the Inter Service Championships in August.
