How To Become A Member of the RNRMCA

With the aim of promoting all aspects of cycling within the Royal Navy and Royal Marines the RNRMCA strives to keep things uncomplicated. Currently their are 2 types of membership you can apply for dependant on your status.

Full Membership – is open to all ranks of the RN & RM, all ex-servicemen of the RN, RM & members of the RNR and RMR.
Club Membership - is open to MOD employees and civilians.

Membership Entitlements

Full – Members will be entitled to the following:

a. Refund of entry fees for approved Inter Service Races
b. A 40% discount of the full cost of Club Clothing
c. Able to enter RTTC events as an RNRMCA member
d. Able to enter BCF races as an RNRMCA member (licence required)
e. Able to ride AUDAX UK events
f. Refund of travel expenses to races approved by ADNPTS (subject to local budget holders discretion)
g Able to attend annual overseas training camp (when organised)
h. Able to vote on proposals at the clubs AGM

Club – Members will be entitled to the following:

a. Club clothing at cost
b. Able to enter RTTC events as an RNRMCA member
c. Able to enter BCF races as an RNRMCA member (licence required)
d. Able to ride AUDAX UK events
e. Club members are not excluded from training camps and tours but are not entitled to funding support.

f. Able to compete at NAVY championships.

Membership Fees

There are two fee options regardless of membership type:-

a. One years membership. Fee £10.00
b. Three Years Membership. Fee £30.00 (this option also entitles the member to permanent loan of a club shirt)

Both options will run consecutively from the month joined. The Membership Secretary will maintain a database of members informing them when their membership is due for renewal (assuming members maintain their contact details).

Application Forms

We currently have 2 types of membership form (linked below). New members are to use the "new member" form returning members the "returning members" form. This allows returning members the option of selecting the free loan of bib-short rather than another SS Shirt.

Details on the form are important particularly an accurate postal address as this is where your shirt will be sent. Also a valid e mail account will ensure you stay up to date with what's happening in the RNRMCA. Don't forget if you get a new e mail account inform the mailing list co-ordinator and the membership secretary.

Returning Members

November 2007 saw the end of the first three year period and as such many members who took advantage of the offer since 2004 now need to renew their membership.

Life Membership

Life Membership is given to those members who have been recognized by the club for providing outstanding service to the club, usually over a number of years.
