RNRMCA Riders Remember the original Glory Days

The continued success of RN cycling today is a reflection of our fine heritage. Since Owen Bryce kindly sent his photos in of RN racing circa 1967 other riders from these golden days have now submitted images of the RN in action on the road.

Check out the vehicles in the background as this rider blurs through the foreground. Ann Owens sent in this photo and the one above. She remembers the race to be a long distance ride but doesn't have the name of the rider. See the snap below as the rider enjoys a cup of tea and a cigarette at the feed wagon.

The following images were sent in by Tony Fowler who rode for the RN between 1956 - 1978 Tony has many fond memories of this era and says Owens pictures really stirred some memories and he was glad to hear Owen is still going strong.

Here we see Tony at a road race on Dartmoor in 1967. He can't remember if he was out the back or chasing the break!!
